What is IELTS?
IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is the world’s most popular English language test for work, study and migration.
It is recognized and trusted by more than 10,000 Universities and Colleges as a reliable indicator of true to life ability to communicate in English. This assessment is designed to test the applicants English language proficiency across four skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking. IELTS is both computer and paper based test.
IELTS is the only high-stakes language test recognized for migration across Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
TEST FORMAT

IELTS assess all four language skills – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. You will take the Listening, Reading and Writing tests on the same day one after the other, with no breaks in between. For Speaking test, you can book a slot online on your preferred date and time. If you fail to choose a slot within the stipulated time, a slot will be automatically allocated to you.
The total test time is under 3 hours.

IELTS SCORE
The IELTS Academic and General Training IELTS test are both graded to a 9 band scale.

For each section of the test (Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking) you will receive a band score from 1 – 9. The average of this score will form your overall IELTS band score. This may be a whole score (e.g. 5, 6) or half (e.g. 7.5, 8.5).
